TANTRIC HATHA YOGA

Become one with the Universe

Let’s face it - Tantra has a bit of a reputation, but in reality what is Tantra and how can it benefit your life? Spoiler alert: it's not what you think!

During these classes we will practice yoga the Tantric way - focusing more deeply on the breath-body-mind connection. We will also dive into the history and philosophy of Tantra to learn more about how it can lead you to that place you've been searching for...you just didn't know it till now! 

​

These classes are for those of you who have always been curious, you just never dared go to a class with Tantra in the title!

VINYASA FOR THE WIN

Get ready to find your limits

Our Vinyasa For The Win classes feature a continuous yoga flow that varies with every class and will keep your body guessing. This allows the mind to be completely absorbed in your asana practice and so have no time to focus on the negative thoughts that creep in.

 

The classes will begin with a relaxation so that you can take a step back from your ‘to do list’ and end with a relaxation so you can absorb all the positive energy (prana) circulating from your practice.

​

These classes are suitable for those with a basic+ understanding of yoga postures (for example those who have completed our Beginners Yoga Fundamentals course, or those who have done some yoga before and know the names of the more common asanas) and is a great way to tone your body and your mind.

REVITALISING RESTORATIVE YOGA

Relax, release and reconnect

Restorative Yoga is a truly rejuvenating practice that gives your body the time it needs to release tension and stress that can become stuck in the soft tissues of your muscles and fascia.

​

Utilising a minimal number of sumptuously supported seated and reclined postures held for longer periods of time, Restorative Yoga allows the body to completely relax and for vital energies within the body to be restored.

​

Restorative Yoga can be an excellent way to wind down after a heavy gym session or a long run as it gives your body the time it needs to regain a sense of ease and balance.

PREGNANCY YOGA

Take time out to connect

How many times have you been told terrifying accounts of childbirth? Stories that make you wonder why you decided you wanted a family in the first place? Here at Spinning Arrow Yoga, we want to put your mind at ease and help you to enjoy your pregnancy and remove any fear you may have about labour.

Pregnancy Yoga helps to keep the body and the mind flexible and ready for the journey ahead; it is all about finding that connection with your growing body and with the beautiful soul who has chosen you to bring them into this world.

Spinning Arrow Yoga's Pregnancy Yoga classes are accessible, engaging and informative. We practise yoga postures known to ease the common aches and pains of pregnancy, together with those proven to aid in childbirth. You will learn how to focus your mind on the positives, discover essential breathwork for birth, and the classes begin and end with a comfy guided relaxation.
 

Our aim is to leave you feeling refreshed, calm, empowered, and both mentally and physically prepared for the birth of your gorgeous new baby.

BACK TO BASICS - YOGA FOR BEGINNERS

Start as you mean to go on

New to yoga and don't know where to begin? The answer is: right here!

 

Learn postures (asana) breathwork (pranayama) and meditation (dharana & dhyana) techniques that are easy to follow and won't leave you feeling more stressed than you were when you walked in the door! Practising yoga helps you to break free from the everyday and find a new direction in this crazy, crazy world!

These classes are suitable for those who have never taken a yoga class before, or for those who want to get back to the fundamentals to get the most out of their practice. 
 

Foundations of Yoga for Beginners runs as an 8 week course. Your first lesson is free and we offer pricing plans to suit your needs.

SAY YES TO YIN

Experience the power of the Rebound

Yin Yoga is the perfect practice if you're feeling a little stuck and out of balance. Perhaps you are feeling 'not quite right' in your physical body, or you're looking for a tool to help you overcome a period of emotional stagnation?

 

The practice of Yin is based on the Chinese Meridian system and involves holding particular poses for longer periods of time to flush out the toxins that can get stored in our joints & create space in the body for your energies to align and flow freely.

 

Affectionately referred to as the Rebound Effect, the sensations felt during the practice of Yin can be particularly profound - encouraging healing, balance and a felt sense of wellbeing within the body and the mind.
