So you’ll have read our recent blog post about our exciting collaboration with Birding the Islands Ltd and our charity conservation partner BirdsCaribbean to bring you a new and adventurous range of Yoga & Birding Tours in the Caribbean from March, 2022. If you missed it, you can catch up with the news here.
But let's come back to now. While many of us are still living under restrictions on movement, it can feel like your emotions are running away with you, or like you're trapped by all the feelings whirling around inside....
...and this is where a Yoga practice can be really helpful. Here at Spinning Arrow Yoga, we’re delighted to bring you a new & unique series of online Yoga classes that we’re calling Birds of Yoga - celebrating the diverse range of poses named after the winged wonders of the world!
Many of the Yoga poses named for birds encourage you to find balance and connect with the Earth while incorporating a feeling of lifting and lightness, which I'm sure many of us need in our lives right now...
Each class will feature a gentle flow towards a particular 'Birds of Yoga' pose and a short talk from Birding the Islands' Director, Ryan, about the fascinating species of bird said pose is named for.
If you’ve never participated in a live online Yoga class before, there’s no time like the present to try something new! The classes will be live-streamed on Zoom (which is free for individual users) and on our Facebook event page, and are being offered on a donation basis with 100% of the proceeds going directly towards supporting BirdsCaribbean’s essential conservation efforts throughout the Caribbean region.
The first class in the series is themed around the majestic Heron family and will feature Heron Pose (Krounchasana) as its peak pose. I will be going live at 10am EST (3pm GMT) on Sunday 15 November.
Practising yoga from the comfort of your own home has never been so fly 😉
With love and light ✨
